This weekend, Linda and Sinazo helped me check out the new Cape Town Science Centre. (Note that that South Africans spell center differently from Americans.)
What a fun day we had! I always knew science was fun, but having all these hands-on activities made science a BLAST! Check out these pictures! These were some of Linda and Sinazo’s favorite activities.
Sinazo learns that the motion of the spinning wheel she’s holding will give enough push to make HER spin on the platform.
Linda discovers that air from a tube can encircle a ball, keeping it in mid-air.
We learned that chemical reactions can produce surprising results!

When was the last time YOU visited a science center? Cottage Lane kids can visit Liberty Science Center in Newark, New Jersey. Sun Valley kids can now visit Cape Town Science Centre. They are always filled with interesting, fun, and surprising activities for kids!
Did you try the gyroscope? It looks like a lot of fun!

That looks sooooo fun! It seems like you got close to Linda and Sinazo. I havent been on your blog in a while so I dont know how you met them. I would love to see more pictures of them!!

The activities were LOTS of fun! I did all of them but the spinning gyroscopes. Sounds like you’d really enjoy the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey, Nicole. Ask your parents to take you. Tell them it will be educational for you (and YOU know it will be lots of fun!).

Why would you pick to go there for the day
The Cape Town Science Centre was having a special open house for teachers to show them their new place. They said I could bring two children with me. Linda and Sinazo said they'd like to come. I think they were happy they did!
