The month of June is such a beautiful month – weather is getting nicer – so much fun to be had in the Great Outdoors!! This month is National Great Outdoors Month and one way of many to celebrate is to write poems about nature, about outdoor fun activities, about friends – you can write a haiku, a cinquain, book spine poem, or a shape poem – so many to choose from!
We are also going to be celebrating the life of one of our favorite authors/illustrators, Eric Carle, who passed away last week. He wrote about so many parts of the outdoors, let’s appreciate him by writing / illustrating just like him!
