Happy International Dot Day!! Welcome back to WOS 2022-2023!!  We are another year older and ready to learn, ready to read, and ready to be creative and have courage to be yourself!!

As we learn about what an AUTHOR is and what an ILLUSTRATOR is, we will learn a bit about Peter Reynolds who wrote and illustrated The Dot and many more books!! An ILLUSTRATOR is also like an ARTIST!  One famous artist who was extremely creative with dots is named Yayoi Kusama, the Princess of Polka Dots!

On September 15th, let’s wear dots to celebrate and we will be watching a Live event with Peter Reynolds from The MET in New York City!!

We can all remember this as we start the school year . . . as Vashti’s teacher said, “Just make a mark and see where it takes you!”
