There are many things that endanger our environment, small things such as throwing a candy wrapper out the car window to more complex issues such as clear cutting sensitive forest and jungle habitats.
Being green is an important step in protecting the environment and the animals that depend on it. Everyone can be green and it is easy – small steps add up to big changes.
Try the following to be Green:
- Walk or ride your bike more often
- Turn the lights off when you don’t need
- Recycle everything you can
- Donate things you don’t need anymore (a form of recycling)
- Plant trees, flowers, and shrubs
- Instead of plastic and paper items, use reusable containers like water bottles and real plates
- Don’t dump chemicals down ANY drains or outside
- Dispose of hazardous materials, like paint and cleaning products, properly
- Buy products that have recycled contents in them and can be recycled
- Use less water, by turning the water off when not in use, taking shorter showers, and using conservative watering measures on landscape
- Conserve energy by unplugging appliances when not in use, close windows and doors when using the AC or heat and use more natural light
- Think about alternative energy sources like solar, wind or thermal
- Stay on trails, going off and creating new ones causes erosion.
We hope you will join us our journey to to protect the environment. Speard the word about our awesome club! Have your friends sign up HERE!
