Nancy Russell, Piermont’s Children Librarian, recently shared “Press Here” by Herve Tullet with kindergarden, first and second grade classes and… they all loved it! It was amazing to watch the students interact with this book. As readers press the start button, they immediately become engaged in a magical adventure. The dots will truly do amazing things that will make the reader follow directions. Students will want to create their own version to make it happen again! Here is a great video of students engaged in the book.
Encourage students to use an interactive whiteboard to create their own book or a simple piece of while paper. Partner with a younger class and have students share their work. Or convert files to pdf documents and upload them to Google Presentations for others to access!
