LEGO Math

LEGO activities are a fabulous visual way for students to experience and actually see the math. I am a visual learner, so using legos to teach math makes so much sense to me!LEGO bricks are awesome for part-part-total explorations! As with other math manipulative such as dominoes or dice, LEGOS have clearly marked studs for students to count. The studs are grouped in twos, which will  facilitate counting by twos rather than counting the studs individually.

Below is an example of how to engage students using legos to support addition and subtraction. Ask students to complete the worksheets below and then ask them to design their own math lego worksheets to share with the class.
