Math Photo Week 1 has come and gone with only ten photos in our “Shape” gallery….THANK YOU to everyone who participated!  I am hopeful that the Math Photo gallery of Week 1 and Week 2 will continue to grow! See the Math Photo slideshows below….

The math concept for the second week Monday, March 9th to Thursday, March 12th will be “Collections and Series”. The expectation is that students will notice and identify “Collections and Series” in the world around them. Once the “Collections and Series” is discovered and identified, the student will take the photograph and email it to the specific email address, picture60ball@photos.flickr.com, associated with “Math Photo Week 2”.

It is important for students to develop a sense of how classroom concepts are transferred and applied in the real world. This challenge is encouraged not mandated.

Here is how to upload your math photo:

1. Take the picture
2. Email photo to picture60ball@photos.flickr.com
3. Use the subject line of the email to identify yourself as the photographer. Use your first name only. For example, Lola.
4. Use the body of the email to add a description. For example, a circle in the rope my dog was chewing.
5. Send your image. It will be added to the slideshow below. Thank you for participating.
