A writing prompt can be a question, a short statement or an idea to help students get started with the sometimes difficult writing process. Integrate a small piece of technology by infusing the QR Code writing prompt cube! Follow the step by step directions below to create your classroom QR Code Cube.
Step One:
Generate a writing prompt. For example, ‘Write about a time when you felt proud.” Create six writing prompts. If you are having difficulty coming up with your own writing prompts take a look at Buzzfeed. Buzzfeed has gathered different ideas from around the web. Check them out!
Step Two:
Choose a QR Code Generator to create the code.
Step Three:
Paste your writing prompt in the text area of the QR Code generator. Create the code. Download and save the QR Code you created. Repeat for all six writing prompts.
Step Four:
Use and print this template for a printable cube.
Step Five:
Print the six codes out and use a copy machine to create your dice template OR print the codes and attach them to a wooden or foam block.

Step Six:
