The South West corner of that region is called the … Basque Country! It has 3 provinces in France and 4 provinces in Spain. I was born and raised in one of the French provinces.

Poisson d’avril!!
We learned that French people prank each other on April 1st by putting pictures of fish on each other’s back. In club, we made pictures of fish and stuck them on our friends’ backs on April 1st! Poisson d’avril!!

Essential Questions
December/ January 2015: 6th graders are pondering over “Do cultures see time differently? How would some of those differences be seen when you travel abroad?”, while 7th are reflecting on ” Do my culinary habits reflect my culture?’ and 8th graders are thinking about “What is particular about French food? what does a French meal look like?”
