Dear Parents and Families,

My name is Jessica Yapkowitz and I will be your son/daughters ENL teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. I am so excited to join the William O. Schaefer teaching community and work with all ENL students in kindergarten, first and second grade.  My goal this year is to help support your child in learning the English language. Together, we will work on listening, speaking, reading and writing. In class, we will participate in language centers, Fundations, guided reading and vocabulary enrichment. Please utilize my blog for information pertaining to classroom units of study, popular English language websites and parent communication. Please do not hesitate to contact me throughout the year if you have any questions or concerns. I am here as a support not only to your children, but to all families.
