Helena Padial will be collecting gently used shoes to help Soles4Souls fight global poverty. Your gently used shoes that you no longer want can help create meaningful opportunities for many in developing nations! The shoes collected will be delivered to Soles4Souls–a non-profit social enterprise that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Used and new shoes can be dropped off in the box located in the SOMS lobby until June 10th.
7th Grade Parent Volunteer help needed for the 8th grade dinner dance. The dance will take place Friday, June 16th at 6:30pm. We need 7th grade parents to help with serving of food, set up and clean up. If you can help out, please email Tricia McGee at epmm@optonline.net or text 917-860-9181. (FYI – ONLY SOMS STAFF MEMBERS WILL BE CHAPERONING THIS EVENT)
All current 8th grade NJHS members please hand in your last 10 hours of community service to Ms. Condon or Ms. Fagan by Thursday, June 1st. Hour sheets are located outside Rm 237 or on the NJHS website. If you have any questions please ask Ms. Condon or Ms. Fagan prior to the due date.
Art Club and Scrapbooking Club will have a joint end of year party in Mrs. Meyer’s Art Room today.
The SADD Club will be having an End of the Year Party today, 5:00 pm at Bailey’s Smokehouse, compliments of Ms. Shaw. Please make sure you arrange a ride for pick-up at 6:15 pm.
There will be a cross country meeting today at 3:15 in the Cafeteria for all 8th graders who are interested in running this fall.
