Ava had 92 colored pencils.  Ava wanted to share them equally among her three friends.  How many will each friend get?

  1. I did short division to figure it out. 3 goes into 92 3 times.With no left over. 3 goes into 2 ZERO times. So that leaves you with 30r2. But that is not the answer! 30 is your answer because they are asking how many would each person get. So the answer is 30.
