This year’s Character Education theme is Colors of Character. September is scarlet for COURAGE. We remembered September 11th, or Patriot Day, with a moment of silence and the ringing of the CLE Liberty Bell. Later we gathered as a school community for our first character education assembly. The gymnasium was filled with students and staff in red as we sang God Bless America, discussed the meaning of courage, introduced The Man with the Red Bandanna, and shared examples of how to be courageous in our own lives. To close, Mrs. King encouraged everyone to be warriors by saying hello and being a friend to everyone. You can learn more about our assembly here.
