In a recent post from The Library of Congress, Jason Reynolds: Grab The Mic, December Edition, the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature suggests that we rest. With Winter break within our sites, I agree with @JasonReynolds83, we should rest. Take a break from the daily grind of classwork and papers and do something for you. REST. For me, that is meditation and reading for pleasure. I’ll be resting, with a good book. What about you?

Getting started with Sora for South Orangetown Central School District
  1. Install the Sora app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or go to https://soraapp.com.
  2. Go to  Sora, find South Orangetown Central School DIstrict, then sign in with your @stu.socsd.org credentials.
  3. Browse the Explore tab and borrow a book, or two or three!
  4. Close the book and go to your Shelf to see all your books.

Getting started with MackinVIA for Tappan Zee Fiction and NonFiction.

  1. Install the MackinVIA app from the Apple iTunes Store,
  2. Go to MackinVIA, find Tappan Zee High School , then sign in tzhs/tzhs.
  3. Once you see Welcome! in the top right corner, click log in to create an individual account. Use your @stu.socsd.org credentials. You should now see, Welcome, ___@stu.socsd.org
  4. Browse the Explore tab and borrow a book, or two or three!
  5. Close the book and go to your Shelf to see all your books.

Getting started with MackinVIA for Nonfiction titles only.

  1. Install the MackinVIA app from the Apple iTunes Store, Google Play, or  Chrome Web Store.
  2. Go to  MackinVIA, find Rockland BOCES SLS High School VIA, then sign in rboceshs/rboceshs.
  3. Once you see Welcome! in the top right corner, click log in to create an individual account. Use your @stu.socsd.org credentials. You should now see, Welcome, ___@stu.socsd.org
  4. Browse the Explore tab and borrow a book, or two or three!
  5. Close the book and go to your Shelf to see all your books.
