Poetry Resources
In libraries world-wide, poetry is assigned to the topic literature. Materials classified as literature are in Dewey decimal class 800. Despite the unprecedented impact of the COVID-19 virus, the TZHS Library Media Center has access to many on-line resources that will support your poetry analysis research.
Select a poet who interests you. Once you have selected a poet, read five to eight of the poet’s works in order to reach an “informed judgment” on their techniques and style.

Create a works cited page
A works cited page is an alphabetized list of your sources using the Modern Language Association (MLA) format. A works cited page serves to show the reader where the information is from giving the source credit for the information and ideas. Cite the book, article, or document using the appropriate format.
