Crash Course Channel
Crash Course is an educational YouTube channel started by John (yes THE John Green, author and winner of the 2006 Printz Award for his debut novel, Looking for Alaska, and The New York Times Best Seller, The Fault in Our Stars) Hank Green (collectively the Green brothers).
Crash Course launched a preview on December 2, 2011, and as of January 2021, it has accumulated over 12 million subscribers and 1.4 billion video views. The channel launched with John and Hank presenting their respective World History and Biology series; the early history of the channel continued the trend of John and Hank presenting humanities and science courses.
From courses like Astronomy to US History and Anatomy & Physiology it’s got you covered with an awesome variety of AP high school curriculum topics. With various witty hosts at your service, you won’t even notice you’re getting smarter. With hundreds of millions of views on their YouTube channel, Crash Course has a worldwide audience in and out of classrooms. While the show is an immensely helpful tool for students and teachers, it also has a large viewership of casual learners who seek out online educational content independently. It has changed attitudes towards education by creating a community of learners who are looking for more than just help passing a test.
