C-SPAN: Cram for the 2020 AP Exam
This year C-Span is offering two “Cram for the Exam” sessions on Saturday, May 9, 2020. For both segments, C-SPAN’s panel of experts will provide study strategies and discuss how to prepare for the unique changes to this year’s AP exams. Students will have the opportunity to call-in, tweet and email questions that they would like our experts to discuss.

Review for Advanced Placement U.S. History exam:
Saturday, May 9 from 8:00-9:00am ET on C-SPAN and C-SPAN.org
Matthew Ellington, an AP U.S. History teacher at Ruben S. Ayala High School in Chino Hills, CA and Jason Stacy, a Professor of U.S. History and Social Science Pedagogy at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, co-authored the textbook “Fabric of a Nation: A Brief History with Skills and Sources, for the AP® Course.” They will explain how this year’s Advanced Placement U.S. History Exam is structured, provide strategies for the free response answers, and demonstrate how to analyze historical documents.
During the program, students may Tweet questions they’d like answered to @cspanwj, post on Facebook, or via email journal@c-span.org. For Twitter, students can also use the hashtag #APUSHCRAM.
Students may also call-in during the program but please know that due to the volume of calls, not all will make it on air.

For the AP U.S. History segment, we will also be giving students the option to submit questions ahead of time. Students can either submit a written question or record a video in landscape orientation that may air on the network during the show. Students can provide that information using the link below:

Dan Larsen and Andrew Conneen, teachers from Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois, join us for our 12th annual Cram for the Exam program to help A.P. Government and Politics students around the country prepare for their upcoming exam. Dan and Andrew will discuss the exam and make suggestions as to what students should be studying. They will also respond to student questions asked via telephone and social media.
