Social Studies Fairy tales

Directions:
Using  Where in the world is Cinderella? World Map found on p. 13. As you listen to each book in the unit, mark where the story takes place (setting) on the map.

 Students will compare the elements of Cinderella
stories from other cultures as they read each version in
the unit. Students will use the Once Upon a Time story
board to make these comparisons. The story board includes the parts of the story and the elements
included in most Cinderella stories. Students will
complete a story board for each book throughout the unit. The story boards will be used to help students compare and contrast the stories throughout the unit and for the culminating activity. A blank copy of the story board and a copy with answers for each book are included in the unit.
