Attention 8th graders going on the Washington trip: If you use medication such as an Epi-pen, Benadryl, or an Inhaler, please check with the nurse to see that your Doctor’s order is current. Your parent can call the nurse’s office at 845-680-1130 or email mkeane2@socsd.org to clarify.
Message from the School Nurse: Please remember to practice good cough and hygiene during this virus season.
- Wash your hands with soap and water frequently
- Cough into a tissue or your elbow
- Stay home if you are sick
- Everyone — students and staff — who enters nurse’s office must wash hands before leaving
- Encourage students and parents to read the e-blasts from SOCSD for further instructions and updates

It’s coming…March Madness! The NJHS hosts March Madness – a chance to show your basketball skills against the SOMS teachers. Tickets will be sold next week in the morning. A donation of $5.00 helps the Make A Wish Foundation and joins you in the fun.
Red Cross Babysitting Certification Class will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm. Registration Forms are available in the Guidance Office. Registration deadline is Thursday, March 19.
The 2020 SOMS Yearbooks are now on sale! Add your own photos and memories by customizing two free pages. Download the free TreeRing app!! The deadline to order and customize your book is April 24, 2020. The price of the yearbook is $29.12 (upgrade to hardcover for an additional cost). You can order online directly through TreeRing. Flyers were already distributed during homeroom. See the SOMS website for more information or contact Mrs. Rutherford.

Art for Public Spaces Club will meet Tuesday, March 24.
Attention all Students: The Italian Club’s Annual Cannoli Sale will run through Monday, March 30. Large Cannoli’s are $2.00 and small Cannoli’s are $1.00. Buy a delicious Cannoli from any Italian Club member.

Spring Sports registration is now underway. Go to the District Website to register.
All boys interested in trying out for the Baseball Team, please come to a meeting at 3:15 pm in the Cafeteria on Wednesday, March 18.
