In the first week of second grade, our class has already begun to develop good reading habits!  We are working hard to build our reading stamina, scoop words into longer phrases to improve fluency, and remind ourselves to stop, think and retell as we read in order to check our understanding.  Just like the beanstalk that grew to the sky from Jack’s magic beans (thanks for sharing the story with us, Ms. Eyer!) we too are growing as readers!
