The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27—the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau—as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.  It is a day to reflect on and honor the lives of Europe’s Jews and other victims of Nazi persecution, and individuals who chose to help.

Listen to the moving story of a young girl who learns of her grandfather’s experience in Auschwitz and then helps him overcome his sensitivity about the number on his arm.
