Thank goodness it finally has turned to spring. We celebrated the beginning of the season by reading about the Equinox. The class learned that all the things that everyone believes to be true are really myths. The class was able to balance an egg and a broom. They have now done this at home and each day since.

The class continues to move the Dr. Lee sign around the building each day with their own signs. There are many words of wisdom displayed each day.

We have completed our Expert Books and bound them. The class is so excited to share each others books and learn about topics that are passionate to each other. We have begun an author and series study now. Each reading group has been reading their own series as well as reading independently from a series.

In writing we are working on persuading someone to do what they want.

In math we concluded the unit on place value with addition and subtraction and will begin the unit on data and graphing.

We have now moved on to balance and motion in science. Ask your child how they were able to balance a pencil on its point!

Fundations continues to focus on double vowels and counting and identifying syllables.

The children are just so excited to go outside for recess!!
