One thought I had while we were reading The Tiger Rising, was at the beginning the story mentioned that the tiger was orange and gold. I wonder why the tiger wasn’t orange and black. I also think Rob and Sistine did do the right thing by freeing the tiger. When some animals are locked up, sometimes like the zoo, they take care of the animal. But, other times, the zoo keeps them in a tiny space and doesn’t feed them as often as other animals.
i think that is a good idea Isabelle but i don’t get most of it?can you explain some of it.

I think that the orange and gold was just some exaggeration.

One thought was that why was the tiger locked up anyway.Another thought that I had was why did Sistine not like where she was. I think that Sistine and Rob didn’t do the right thing because when they let the tiger free Rob’s dad shot it and Sistine and Rob were sad that the tiger died.
I was thinking that it was very dramatic when they let the tiger go because Rob’s dad shot the tiger so Sistine and Rob can be safe.It was also dramatic because Rob said that he wished that his dad was dead because he shot the tiger!

i love tiger rising because rob set the tiger free and the tiger was nice but rob dad kill the tiger and rob set next to the tiger on a log and rob dad bring the tiger and a grord and rob dad went home and sistiem was at home .
I thought that Sistine was a good friend to Rob because she pushed Rob to do good things and to open his suitcase. Beauchamp locked the tiger up because he thought that if he put the tiger in front of the motel then he would get more customers, or he thought if he killed him he would skin him to make a tiger fur coat for himself.

I did not really know why Beauchamp locked the tiger up anyway and why was it Florida and not in a zoo or the wild?
I don’t know why he even had the tiger.Did he steal it or something?
It doesn’t even make sense. The author didn’t write where he got the tiger. As Rachel said, did he steal it?
My idea is that they should not have let the tiger out of the cage because the tiger could hurt someone and someone could get really injured.
I think Rob and Sistine did the right thing of letting the tiger go because,at the zoo or at the circus some people are very mean to the animals.The question I am wondering about from The Tiger Rising is that how did Rob’s mom die?
I think Rob’s dad is a person who doesn’t care about things because he let Rob drink coffee and he doesn’t care that his motel room is dirty and he doesn’t clean up after himself after he and Rob have dinner because there was a dirty macaroni and cheese pan that he didn’t clean.I think when Rob’s mom was alive she would clean up after him so he never did it after she died.
I think it was a good idea to let the tiger go because when Rob and Sistine opened the cage, Robs dad shot the tiger and Rob opened his suitcase and all his feelings that he was hiding came out. It also helped Rob have a better relationship with his father and Sistine.
In the book, The Tiger Rising, Sistine is nice and kind, but also stubborn sometimes. She is a mix of both. She is kind, because she let the tiger go. But she was a little stubborn, without thinking, she said to Rob,” I will never be your friend again.” Rob is shy, at first, but towards the middle and end of the book, he turns a bit braver and starts to bloom up. Rob’s father shows that he truly loves his son, because he saids he is sorry for killing the tiger, but said that he was only trying to protect him. But, in the book, Rob and Sistine become friends, and finds out a way to free the tiger out of his cage.
In the Tiger Rising, at the end of the book when Robs Dad shot the tiger. I wonder why Rob’s Dad did it.
I think that it was a bad idea to let the tiger out because the tiger got shot by rob’s dad. I also thought that at the beginning they were not friends because Sistine said that they are all poor though Sistine was wearing a pretty pink dress. One thought was that why did Beauchamp leave the tiger in the cage because no one would have been sad
One thought I had when we were reading was why didn’t Robs dad take Rob to a doctor to verify that his legs were contagious, if they did he could have gone to school and he would have never found out about the tiger. I also think that Rob and Sistine shouldn’t of let the tiger go, I think this because they didn’t know enough about the tiger, what if the tiger was vicious it could of killed them all!
I think it was nice of Rob and Sistine to let the tiger go because it had to be free out of that cage that it was in and the one that Beauchamp kept the it in. They didn’t know that Rob’s Dad would have shot the tiger so Rob got mad at his Dad so he opened up his imaginary suitcase and his Dad also opened up his imaginary suitcase by saying Rob’s Mom’s name at the ending.
I don’t Rob and Sistine did not do a good think because it was in the woods and if someone saw it they might and got hurt or got afraid.The tiger also would get hurt because it is in the wild by house’s and here the danger by them.
One thought I had when we were reading The Tiger Rising,was that it repeated about Sistines close. It said that she was wearing a pink dress over and over again. I think its weird that the tiger was orange and gold because tigers are always orange and black not orange and gold. I also think Sistine and Rob did the right thing by freeing the tiger. When animals are locked up they don’t want to stay there,they want to be free and if they are locked up they wont have any friends because there just stuck in the cage and cant get out. Now I think the tiger likes Sistine and Rob because they let him free.
I think they did the right thing because you can’t hold on to something forever eventually you have to let go and you can’t cag things forever like Rob caged his feelings in his suitcase and Willy May caged her bird.
My thoughts where, why was beauchamp even keeping the tiger, and if he like the tiger then why was rob feeding him? My guess is that he is scared of the tiger. And I do agree with Isabelle that they did do the right thing by letting the tiger free.

I think sistine and rob made a good decision letting the tiger go because it was better for the tiger then the small cage he was in. because he did have room to roam around when rob let the tiger go. but not for long.

i also think if rob and sistine were not friends they would be sad for the rest of there life because thay had no other friends. 😉
