Congratulations to third-grader Marvin J., Cottage Lane Elementary School’s New York Jets Upstander of the week! Marvin’s teachers said that several classmates noted how inclusive Marvin was during lunch. He always keeps an eye out for students that sit alone and invites them to sit with him. Marvin said that he wishes everyone had friends to play and eat lunch with. Way to go, Marvin!
This is the first year that Cottage Lane Elementary School has participated in the New York Jets and Stomp Out Bullying’s Upstander of the Week program, which aims to reduce and prevent bullying nationwide. Those recognized receive a t-shirt, two tickets to a Jets home game and a parking pass. #JetsTackleBullying
