All middle school students who wish to come out for a fall sport at SOMS (Boys Cross Country, Girls Cross Country, Football, Girls Swimming, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Girls Tennis, Volleyball) should be ready to register online beginning August 7th. Registration must be started within 30 days of the start date as per NYSPHSAA and NYSED rules. Do not register before August 7th for a fall sport or you will have to re-register! Only physicals within one year will be accepted for participation. Student athletes and their parents are urged to make sure they are cleared to participate.

Online registration for HS fall sports & the Advanced Placement process will begin on July 22 to fall within the 30 day window requirement of the health history questionaire as per NYSPHSAA and NYSED regulations. Please schedule a physical now with your doctor before August 22nd (August 22nd is the the first day of fall sports) so you can participate on the first day! All physicals must be within 1 year of participation to be valid. Questions?

Due to scheduling conflicts, The “Dutchies,” the TZHS Athletics Award has been rescheduled from Wednesday, June 8 to Thursday, June 16th at 6 PM in the Tappan Zee HS auditorium.
All Senior student athletes and their families and are urged to attend! All other athletes are welcome!
ATTENTION ALL STUDENT ATHLETES & FAMILIES:
WE WILL BE HOLDING “THE DUTCHIES,” OUR NEW STUDENT ATHLETE VARSITY AWARDS CEREMONY, THURSDAY, 6/16 at 6PM IN THE TZHS AUDITORIUM. ALL STUDENT ATHLETES AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE INVITED. TAKE A PICTURE AT THE OFFICIAL TZ BACKDROP WITH YOUR TEAMMATES, BEST FRIENDS & FAMILY MEMBERS. ALL SENIOR STUDENT ATHLETES WILL BE HONORED! THIS IS A NIGHT TO HONOR ALL OUR SENIOR STUDENT ATHLETES! UNDERCLASSMEN ARE INVITED AS WELL!

Tappan Zee spring sports continues on as we have three sports still playing!
Track & Field competes in the NYS qualifiers today (Friday) at Arlington HS @5PM & tomorrow (Saturday) at White Plains HS @4PM
Softball will take on Vestal HS from Section 2 in the NYS Regional Championship tomorrow (Saturday) at 12:30 PM at Lakeland HS for a chance to play in the NYS Final Four!
Girls Lacrosse will take on Burnt Hills/Ballston Lake from Section 2 in the Regional Championship tomorrow (Saturday) at 3 PM at Hendrick Hudson HS for a chance to play in the NYS Final Four!
It has been a great spring for Tappan Zee Athletics!
