Hundreds of South Orangetown students attended the opening day of our district’s Second Annual Summer STEAM Camp on July 5 at Tappan Zee High School. Special thanks to camp coordinators Instructional Science Coach Samantha Levine and Social Worker Jessenia Cursio and to the more than 20 teachers who developed an exciting, hands-on curriculum for our campers.
Projects underway include: Forensics, observing plants and animals, making rainbow kaleidoscopes, studying heart rate and health, coding with Spheros, hot air balloon papier mache–and much more!
