Over the past few weeks, teachers from across the district have been participating in engaging professional development that has resulted in empowering new learning. Teachers work together on a daily basis before or after school to plan and revise units of study.
In addition, we have created teacher leadership teams in various content areas and Response to Intervention (RTI). These leadership teams meet several times throughout the year to do with-in school and cross-school work. Our teams have functioned exceptionally well together, partly because of the structure of long blocks of time for learning together (i.e. Superintendent’s Conference Days, Leadership Team Meetings, and Professional Learning Communities).
