Thank you again for supporting the WOS Earth Kids Club! We recently took bags and bags of plastic bottles to the Bottle Remedemtion Center in Nanuet and were able to donate an additional $14.35 to the HiTor Animal Shelter! Each week, the efforts of the club is recognized as they continue to talk to students about how to recycle and making a difference!
Zero waste is not just a trend, this is a movement here to stay out of necessity. We’re a large amount of people on a planet with finite resources says Brianne Miller a marine biologist. Going Zero Waste is not an overnight process. You can’t do it in a day, in a week, or even a month. It takes time, effort, and commitment. But we can all do little things to reduce our waste every single day! Watch Four Years of Trash: One Jar. What is in Lauren Singer’s Mason Jar?
This week we are back at again, taking the opportunity to teach our members about their connection to nature and the earth by practicing yoga… “Hello Sun! Hello Earth! Hello Rain! Hello Wind! Hello Ocean! Hello Wind! Hello Rain! Hello Earth! Hello Sun! Namaste.”
