2016 DIY Gift Challenge: Up-cycle!

The holidays are upon us and now is the perfect time to begin thinking Do It Yourself (DYI) gift ideas! Handmade gifts are an affordable and meaningful way to show all of the important people in your life that you care.   For this month’s challenge you will need to find a clever way to reuse and or repurpose items ranging from toilet paper rolls, egg cartons, newspapers, bottle caps, cans, paper bags, pillowcases, magazines and even old sweaters to create a gift! If you can repurpose it, you can use it for this challenge! The more you look for ways to reuse materials instead of throwing them away, the more aware you will be of how much waste you encounter and toss away. Create a gift and send less to our landfills!
