Cycle Day 3
Attention all students: If the temperature is between 21 and 45 degrees you MUST have a minimum of either a sweatshirt or fleece jacket to go outside for recess. If the temperature drops below 21 degrees, there will be no outdoor recess. Please remember to bring your jacket to recess if you want to go outside
Have a team you want to win the Superbowl? Vote for them by bringing in a can of food and dropping it in the box in front of the main office with that team’s name on it. At the end of the day Friday, we will announce the team that got the most votes. All donated items will go to a food pantry. We also encourage all students and staff to show their Superbowl Spirit by wearing a sports jersey of any type, on Friday.
The Cooking Club will be meeting today, February 9th. We will be making Tacos! Please be sure to sign up for one of the sessions in the Google Classroom.
Today, Yard Bird will be in the cafeteria serving crispy chicken breasts on a kaiser roll with pickles fries and special sauce.

The next Gaming & Strategies meeting will be 2/14. Mrs. DiTuri will be ordering pizza for our Valentine’s Day party. Please stop by room 230 or email Mrs. DiTuri if you will be attending so that she order enough pizza for everyone!
The Spanish Club would like to say “Gracias” to everyone who has already purchased a “Sweetheart Snake” for friends, family members, teachers, staff members, and secret crushes! We have two more days and only have approximately 90 snakes remaining for sale. Don’t be disappointed–once we sell out that’s it! Come see us at the table outside of the cafeteria during 6th, 7th, and 8th grade lunch if you wish to purchase a card and snake—we will be there until all snakes have been sold. Delivery will take place during homeroom on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14th.
Buy a sweet treat and help four children facing critical illnesses! The NJHS is selling special Valentine’s Day lollipops to benefit this years’ four young Penguin Plunge recipients. Buy one for $2.00 or 3 for $5.00… the lollipops will be delivered on Valentines Day. Treat yourself or buy them for a friend- each delicious pop sold helps these children Order forms were emailed home yesterday or are available in the main office or from Mr. Goldstein or Mrs. Beckmann. Orders can be dropped off in the bin outside the office or given to Mr. Goldstein or Mrs. Beckmann.
It is that time of year again! SOMS is looking for a talented 6th or 7th grade student to design the cover of next year’s Agenda Book! We are inviting students to be creative and illustrate the theme of friendship (be kind). This theme was selected by our Student Council members. All entries need to be submitted to the main office by Friday, February 17. Have a great experience illustrating this theme!
