Attention all students: If the temperature is between 21 and 45 degrees you MUST have a minimum of either a sweatshirt or fleece jacket to go outside for recess. If the temperature drops below 21 degrees, there will be no outdoor recess. Please remember to bring your jacket to recess if you want
The Students Against Destructive Decisions club will meet today January 11th in room 153- new members are always welcome.
The Spanish Club will meet today, January 11th after school in Room 234. We will be selecting this year’s theme for our Valentine’s Day fundraiser! New members are always welcome! You must be involved in our club fundraiser in some way in order to attend our annual, yummy Spring luncheon! Please contact Doctora Solomon if you would like more information about joining the club and/or the luncheon—if you can’t make this next meeting there are still ways you can earn your way to the luncheon!
The Italian club will meet today, January 11th after school. We will talk about la Befana and make paninis!
Science Olympiad will meet this Thursday, January 12th
We are having yard bird day in the cafe this Thursday, lunch will include a crispy chicken patty with secret sauce on a large hamburger bun and French fries.
There will be a student council meeting Thursday 1/12 in room 323.
Student Council is sponsoring School spirit day this Friday 1/13! Wear Red & White and TZ gear!!

The Yearbook Club will meet on Wednesday, January 18th.
There is a book drive being held this month by TZHS students who are collecting throughout the district to promote children’s literacy. They invite you all to bring in gently used books that will be donated to the People to People food bank in Nanuet! Books can be dropped off in the Blue Mailbox in the SOMS Lobby as you come into school in the morning.
It is that time of year again! SOMS is looking for a talented 6th or 7th grade student to design the cover of next year’s Agenda Book! We are inviting students to be creative and illustrate the theme of friendship (be kind). This theme was selected by our Student Council members. All entries need to be submitted to the main office by Friday, February 17. Have a great experience illustrating this theme!
