Cycle Day 5

Attention all students:  If the temperature is between 21 and 45 degrees you MUST have a minimum of either a sweatshirt or fleece jacket to go outside for recess.  If the temperature drops below 21 degrees, there will be no outdoor recess.  Please remember to bring your jacket to recess if you want to go outside during recess!

The SOMS Library and the Debate Club will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair from Monday 12/12 until Friday 12/16. You can also visit the SOMS Scholastic Online Fair to purchase items AND to SETUP YOUR eWALLET. Digital media club will meet Thursday, December 15th

Student Council will meet 12/15 afterschool in room 323.

The Italian club will meet on Wednesday, December 14th We will celebrate the holidays. Everyone is invited to come to try Pandoro, an Italian Christmas cake and play tombola. If they would like to bring something to share with the rest of the club, there is a google form on the club classroom to fill out.

The GSTA Club will meet after school in room 331 after school on Thursday, December 15th.  New members are always welcome!  Please see Mrs. Fagan if you have any questions.

Think you have a great holiday sweater? The SOMS NJHS would love to see it when they host their annual Ugly Sweater contest! Students and staff are encouraged to show their holiday spirit Friday, December 16th and see if your outfit stands out the most. This event is a fundraiser to support the Penguin Plunge and we are asking for a donation of $1.00 to join in. Sweaters will be judged during lunch and at the end of the day we will be recognizing several students and staff members who may win the coveted Ugly Sweater Award! Donations will be collected on Thursday and Friday mornings this week when students arrive, and all proceeds will go to the Penguin Plunge which supports local children facing critical illnesses.

The next yearbook meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 18.
