Attention all students: If the temperature is between 21 and 45 degrees you MUST have a minimum of either a sweatshirt or fleece jacket to go outside for recess. If the temperature drops below 21 degrees, there will be no outdoor recess. Please remember to bring your jacket to recess if you want to go outside during recess!
The Social Awareness and Inclusion Club is meeting on Tuesday, November 29th in 231 to wrap up our Care Backpack Drive by writing handwritten letters of encouragement to individuals dealing with hardships. Please bring cool greeting cards, writing utensils, decorations and envelopes, Let’s spread hope for the holiday season! New members are always welcome.
Robotics Club Group 2 will meet on Tuesday Nov. 29th. Please see Mr. Goldstein if you have any questions.
The next Student Council meeting is Tuesday 11/29 in room 323.
The next meeting of the Spanish Club will take place on November 30th after school in Room 234. We will be playing both traditional and updated versions of “Loteria”, and prizes of Takis and Mexican candy are up for grabs! New members are always welcome—please reach out to Doctora Solomon if you have any questions.
If you are planning on auditioning for Shrek the Musical, don’t forget to fill out the audition form and sign up for an audition time. Slots are filling up quickly! Deadline to sign up is Dec. 6th.
The 8th Grade Washington Trip deposits is due by Friday December 2nd. Please turn in the permission slip with a deposit check of $100 to Mr. Scherer or Mr. Sullivan.
Picture make up day will be December 6th during periods 1-5. New students or students who were absent on picture day should report to the Auditorium Lobby when their grade is called. If you are looking to retake your picture, please make sure to bring your original portrait packet with you and return it to the photographer.

Winter sports registration for modified sports at SOMS is open! Make sure to register, the first day of winter sports is Monday, November 28. Sports that are offered for the winter are Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Boys Swimming, Ice Hockey & Wrestling.
All boys’ soccer uniforms must be returned as soon as possible to Mr. Freeley in room 171.
Attention all 7th and 8th Grade boys interested in joining the Boys Modified Swim Team – There will be an informational meeting immediately after school on Monday, November 28 in the library. Please have a ride home at 3:30pm. If you have any questions or cannot attend the meeting, please contact Ms. Garrecht in the main office.
Boys basketball tryouts for 7-8th graders will start on Monday, November 28, and last the week. They will run from 3 – 4:15 each day. Please make sure you have a ride home at 4:15 each day.
