Name the Peregrine Falcones

Hundreds of feet above the Hudson River, a man-made nest box was installed on top of the Tappan Zee Bridge. Currently, adult peregrine nested in this box and  laid several peregrine eggs. During the month of May several of these eggs will hatch with chicks, called eyases (“EYE-a-sez”, singular “EYE-us”).

This year, the New NY Bridge project is asking students to help name the Tappan Zee falcon eyases!

Fill out the form below with a suggested name for the Falcon chicks by 3:00 pm, Friday, May 1st. The two top names will be submitted to the New NY Bridge team on behalf of the William O. Schaefer students. Our submissions, along with submissions from other Rockland County Schools will be posted for the public to vote for their top choices.

Thank you for participating.
