Warning: Do NOT look directly at the sun. Please use special solar viewing glasses!

Today we have an opportunity to observe a solar eclipse.  This is when the Moon crosses between the Earth and the Sun. The eclipse can be seen throughout most of North and Central America.  In New York, the eclipse will begin at 2:10 PM and will peak at 3:25 PM.  It will not be a total eclipse. It will be over at 4:38 PM.   Watch the eclipse livestreamed through NASA
