It is “not” cold outside. December had record warm temperatures. Let’s make it snow in January! January’s challenge is to create a snowflake and a diamante poem. Use any kind of stick to design and create a unique snowflake. On the back of your snowflake, tape your diamante poem about snow. Read Write Think is a great resource to help you develop your diamante poem.
Rules:
- Snowflakes must be no larger than a piece of paper, 8.5 by 11 inches.
- Entries must include: your name, grade and teacher.
- Diamante poem must be attached to your 3D snowflake.
- Entries are due by January 25th.
This is a very insteresting video. It taught me a few things. For example, the smaller snowflakes [which aren’t common]are the same. Another thing that I learned is that at a certain degree it can become bigger (the sides become more unique). One last thing that I did not know was that a snowflakes starts as at little dust in the sky.
Sean, thank you for sharing your new found knowledge. Hope others learn some things too!
