Robotics Curriculum

Grade 1 – Grade 5

South Orangetown Central School District is committed to providing students with equitable and enriching experiences with technology infused units. All students in Grades 1 – 5 have the opportunity to work with robotics equipment in project based units delivered in their school Makerspaces by technology teachers.

These units integrate work from other content areas, such as math and science while providing students with authentic opportunities to learn about the engineering design process, innovation, and creativity, coding, problem solving and collaboration. Our program continues to grow to over more opportunities outside of the school day and teachers across all of our schools are collaborating on how to enrich our robotics curriculum to take it to the next level!
