In Reader’s Workshop, we started reading Eagle Song. As we read, we made predictions and asked questions about the characters in the story and the setting. The main character, Danny Bigtree, faces some obstacles in the beginning of the story. What are some of the obstacles Danny faces? If you were Danny, what would you do to overcome the obstacles?
I am so proud of your hard work and motivation as we read the text today. I am looking forward to seeing you work in your triads this week.
Re read your work for proper punctuation and grammar.
One obstacle that Danny faces is being bullied because of where he was from and his culture. Danny can overcome this obstacle by standing up for himself or he can be himself and let no one bother him.
I think that is great advice Megan. Danny should continue to be himself and be proud of who he is!
Megan- I like that you took the time to re read your work and check for proper punctuation and grammar! Way to go!!
Me to Megan I think Danny should stand up for himself and tell the bullies to stop or Danny will a teacher. I also aggre with Mrs Caunitz, Danny should be proud for who he is!
A obstcale Danny is facing is kids bullying him. If I were Danny I would stand up for myself.
I agree with Jack. If I was Danny , I would stand up for myself.
One problem Danny is facing is that Brad and Tyrone are bullying him because of his Iroquois background. Danny doesn't fit in with Brooklyn, he likes and want to go back to Akwesasne.
I agree with you that Danny is being bullied and if i was Danny I would also try to stick up for myself. I would also first thing tell an adult such as a lunch ade or my teacher. I would also tell my dad or mom
Danny is having a big problem with the kids at his school. All the kids are making fun of him because he has a dirrerent culture. If I was Danny I would tell my mom or dad to call the bullies parents and if the kids doesn't stop tell a teacher.
