We have been working with area models to divide as well as using multiplication combinations. This past week, we have been working diligently to become masters at long division.
Do you have advice that is working for you as you work towards mastering this concept?

One of the things that is helping me is D.M.S.C.B. This works for me because it is a reminder to Divide, Multiply, Subtract, Compare and Bring down.
I like D.M.S.C.B just like Timmy does. It helps if I forget what to do next. I also think that if you know 2 by 1 and 3 by 1 it will make 4 by 1 easier.
I love the trick D.M.S.C.B. At first I was having a hard time with long division,and now I get it!

I like the DMSCB strategy. One problem is that I don't like the compare in DMSCB, it confuses me a little.
I using the D.M.S.C.B. strategy. But I also like checkng my answer with multiplication.
