Cottage Lane Elementary School fourth-grader Brian B. was selected as an Upstander “because of the good choices he makes and the positivity he brings to the classroom each and every day,” says teacher Christopher Haggarty. “Brian has set an example of a true Upstander since the beginning of the school year and we can always count on him to do the right thing.” Congratulations to Brian, who was “very grateful” to be recognized!
This is the first year that Cottage Lane Elementary School has participated in the New York Jets and Stomp Out Bullying’s Upstander of the Week program, which aims to reduce and prevent bullying nationwide. Those recognized receive a t-shirt, two tickets to a Jets home game and a parking pass.
