SOCSD is excited for an upcoming curriculum presentation and conversation on Tuesday, October 5, from 7:00-8:30 PM! The Office of Curriculum and Instruction in partnership with the South Orangetown PTAs will host a “K-12 Curriculum Night” to highlight the District’s curriculum and to kick off a series of related events that will take place in our schools throughout the school year.
The October 5 presentation will focus on:
- A broad overview of our K-12 curriculum
- Curriculum-related resources for parents
- How parents can support their children at home
To assist our district and school teams in planning this event, we’re asking parents and community members who intend to attend this event to complete this Google Form (English | Spanish) by Monday, September 27. We are also asking participants to submit questions in advance so that we can best answer questions which may be school- or grade-specific in nature. Please enter your questions when completing the Google Form. This will enable us to choose a location that can best accommodate the number of anticipated participants, and will ensure that the presentation covers key topics of interest. There will also be a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
Based on the response to the Google Form, a follow-up email will be sent next week confirming the event location.
