Our students are really enjoying P.E. Enrichment! This weeks activity was designed for students to think critically, run fast, and utilize their mental math skills!

We had an excellent bowling unit at WOS! Our K-2 classes worked on their bowling skills and learned about all of the different bowling terminology. Students did a great job of utilizing their math skills while keeping score of their own game!

Communication, Cooperation, and Problem Solving in Physical Education 

During some of our new cooperative activities, we implemented several skill themes, movement concepts, and exercises. Our students at WOS did an excellent job of problem solving and thinking critically in order to complete different challenges! It was great to see students utilizing various strategies and being persistent while making corrections to reach their goals.

On November 20th, the Harlem Superstars visited William O. Schaefer and played a game against the teachers at TZ High School that night. Our students at WOS were very excited to have the players visit and show them different tricks. We had a fun and successful game and it was a great community event!!

We had a great first group that participated in our P.E. Enrichment program. Students were working together to build their hula-hoop houses and even incorporated them into one of our favorite throwing and catching activities. Our next group of students will be starting on December 6th!
