Spines are Not Just to Hold Us Up!

There is SO much history in School Libraries!! It all started with CLAY Tablets and then in 1636 John Harvard donated his own books to Harvard College and that was the beginning of having public libraries!  We have since gone from card catalogs to OPALS computers to find books.

Let’s BACK it up!! Our SPINE is super important to the human body and making us move! Well, the SPINE will really help us find a book!  No joke, STRAIGHT up, let’s learn how to find a Fiction book in the Library today!  Practice those skills playing this new game: Shelver!  What a way to continue the celebration of National School Library Month!

Want to try to put the books in order yourSHELF (haha get it!): Try it!
