Fiction is not true and non-fiction is true. Non-fiction books are all about the world: people, places and thngs! Fiction is  imaginary stories. Fiction books are are about imaginary people, imaginary events and imaginary places.

A fiction book, Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano and a nonfiction book, All About Turkeys by Jim Arnosky will be introduced to the students as a read aloud. Students will discuss  the differences between the two books. Students will then be tasked with sorting books to distinguish fiction from nonfiction.
