On December 19, each William O. Schaefer Elementary School afternoon bus and van had at least one familiar teacher, staff member or administrator (many pictured, below) on board to reinforce bus safety rules and behavior expectations with students throughout their ride. The Staff Ride Along was part of a larger, school-wide initiate to promote safe and appropriate bus behavior.
WOS will celebrate its own Bus Safety Week starting January 7 to promote positive bus behaviors through Morning Meeting lessons, assemblies, and another Staff Ride Along. The week will end with a Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast to thank our bus drivers!
