Why Vote? Its is a privilege as an American citizen. In Social Studies we have learned that the issue of "voting rights" has been fought for on many fronts. Voting is the very heart of democracy. It is our greatest right from the American Revolution to the Civil War and into the 20th century. As we have discussed voting gives the people power, voice and a part of the political process. We can only thank those who came before us like the Founding Fathers, Susan B. Anthony, Frederick Douglass, and Abraham Lincoln. It matters….VOTE!
Remember our military service men and women some of whom have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom to vote.
