More Choice for School Lunch

Have you ever felt you should have choice in what you wnt? Well, that is how some students feel about school lunch. There should be a variety of foods at lunch time. Here are the reasons why.

One reason is some students do not like what is being served. “There should be more variety” states John Weissburg a 5th grader at Forest Elementary. “They could at least enjoy their meal”. The students also get to pick so they will eat and get the proper nutrients needed.

A second reason is almost 40% of students at Forest Elementary buy the school lunch instead of bringing lunch from home. “By eating the school lunch they are eating healthy food”, stated Mrs. Blomberg a 3rd grade teacher.

Over 100 parents were surveyed and they said, “it takes less time from their mornings if their child buys school lunch”. Mrs. Thomas stated “I don’t have to worry about nutrition or if they lose their lunch.” If their is more choice their would be different lines and the lunch line would move quickly.

A new lunch system, one line for salald, one line for hot lunch, and one line for cold lunch (yogurt). It is simple more variety for school lunch.
