At today’s assembly, Dr. Lee shared Peter Reynolds’s book, The Dot, to jump start this year’s Character Education Program. Students and classes have the opportunity to earn dots for good citizenship. Citizenship is the qualities that a person is expected to have as a responsible member of a community.
A good citizen:
- Knows what good behavior looks like.
- Recognizes the rights of others.
- Plays by the rules.
- Does the right thing even when no one is watching!
Tell us how you can be a good citizen of Tappan Zee Elementary. Please make sure you read classmates’ comments. Let’s come up with as many different examples as possible. The more ways you practice being good citizens the more “dots” you can earn. “Make your mark” on TZE and be a good citizen!
Treat others how you would treat yourself. :]
