I was so happy to get back to school today and see everyone! I was getting very bored and lonely.
I'm sure everyone has a story to tell about the hurricane, Halloween, and everything you experienced. What's your story? Did you have power? Any damage? Did you do anything FUN?
I'm so thankful that we're all safe. That's the most important thing!
I went trick or treating two times. I went with my neighbor Anna. She was a groovy girl. And I went with Tessa, who was a vampire. We al went trunk or treating with Anna and Tessa and saw Melanie with her cousin.
During the storm, the lights were flickering and then the power went off and it scared me because it was pitch dark. The next morning we still didn’t have power so my mom and my dad cooked breakfast on the grill. It wasn’t the best but at least we had food. At 10 o’clock we got the power back and we were so excited.
During the storm, my cousins didn’t have any power, so they stayed at our house for a week. It was fun. We went to my cousins basketball tournament.
During the storm we were worried about my dad who was on the way home to be with us. He made it home safely and we lost power as soon as he walked in the door. After the storm I went to a birthday party and Devin was their too. We went trick or treating only around the block to be safe.
We lost power for almost 7 days!!! It was cold and dark. I did a little trick or treating on Wed w/my sister and brother on a safe street. My family went to NYC Saturday night to stay warm! We went to the Empire State Building, MOMA, Central Park and Museum of Natural History and FAO!!! I got a 1960’s Marvel Comic book. I went to basketball practice and we ate out a lot!
During the storm my cousins came over because they did not have power. When they were over we played lots of fun games like, twister, Play-Doh, and clue. When my power went out it was flickering and flickering and BOOM it was out I got so cold. Transformers were blowing up the sky was purple it was so cool but scary. We got power back the next day at 9:30am. When we were driving around there was a tree that fell into a house and split right through the house.
I spent a week at my grandma’s because she had power while we didn’t have power at my house. Each night we had movie nights with my grandfather who we call ‘pops’. Each day we went back to my house to play and walk the dogs. On ‘not really Halloween’ we had a big group of kids trick or treating up and down my neighboorhood. Jack N. was there with all his brothers. It was a good time!
I lost power for 5 days! While our power was out, we played games, had a HUGE sleepover in the basement, and slept over our aunt and uncle’s house. We even watched a movie–Hotel Transylvania. On Saturday, we were so lucky that we went trick-or-treating. My sister Maya’s friend, Claire, didn’t go at all! We’re also lucky we didn’t lose a part of our house. One of our neighbors lost a lot of siding!
I lost power for three days and I went to get candy on halloween and on saturday
and during huracain sandy there was this big tree down by the middle school near my house and the tree almost lifted up the power line and then we almost lost power but know other trees were down
Last week I had a sleep over at my grandparents. We went to the movies, I got a toy it was green lantern. On Thursday we got power. I was so happy to be home!
We only lost power for 1 day. Then I had a sleep over at my friend Samanthas house fir her birthday. Ariana was there too, we went trick ortreating & Ariana forgot her costume. We played & did crafts. We went to bed at midnight. I had alot of fun, I cant wait to have another sleep over at my house.
On Sunday I had a sleep over and my second grandma and grandpa came over.
I slept over at Eden’s because i did not have power. My mom texted Julie that we got our power back.
I lost power for a whole week but on Saturday night I got it back! On Saturday night
my cousin came over too.She had a sleepover!She brought her Dream Light over.
We found out that our power was back when we saw the street lights were on.
We had fun with power and sometimes without it. It was a great!
When I lost my power my family and I went to a hotel. After a few more days we came back to our house. When we still lost power… we lit up the fireplace and I watched Andy Griffith and the Soupy Sales Show with my family. On Saturday night I got my power back, and on our way home the blocks had lights on and when we were at my house… we all got so excited we got very very sick.
I forgot to type the last sentence. We had a great time together!!!!!
We lost power for 4 nights. During that time we used candles and flashlight to get around the house at night. We put the fire on everyday to stay warm and we all slept in Mommy and Daddy’s bedroom. We played alot of board games and Daddy taught us how to play blackjack! Every time I was dealer – I won!! 🙂 We went trick or treating on Saturday, I was dressed as Roy-G-Biv, Emma was a Vampire, Kyra was a Fairy and Jason was a boxer. We got alot of candy.
I spent my time during Hurricane Sandy with my cousin Mario. My aunt, my uncle and Mario were staying with us because they had no power.We lost power too but my Dad had a generator to give us heat and light. Mario slept over for 6 days in a row! We played video games, Scrabble and Just Dance for exercise. When he left I was really, really SAD. I started to cry.
