Hi kids! We came close to our goal of 12 responses yesterday. Let's try to meet that goal tonight!
We're still thinking about memories. Think about the story we read today from Looking Back. Lois Lowry's son taught his little daughter to say "butterfly" in German. Have you ever taught someone how to do something? Maybe you helped a little brother or sister learn to read. Maybe you helped your parents figure out how the TV remote control works!
Tell about a time you helped someone. How did it make you feel?

When my grandma and grandpa were here, we all wanted to watch a Charlie Brown movie. I taught them how to use the TV remote to change it to a DVD so we could watch the movie. It made me feel good because I taught someone how to use something they didn’t know how to use before. We all enjoyed the movie.
One time I went to my Aunt Terry’s house. Whenever I sat in their rocking chair, in their room, Angelina started doing the dance called “Wiggle”, which I taught to the triplets. It was funny to watch because the dance is like the “Hokey Pokey”. They would get out of their cribs and open the door to Aunt Terry’s bedroom. Then, they would hop on her bed and do the Wiggle. Aunt Terry was laughing hysterical(ly) and she said “you taught them how to dance like this?”. I said “yet!, yes I did!”. “I am very proud of you”. And that is when I taught the triplets how to do the Wiggle dance. The End!

I liked going on my grandpa’s wheelchair. He used the wheelchair because he had avery rare disease called Polyglucosan body disease. When I was about 4 years old he would press the up button on the wheelchair and we would go up and pretend we were astronots going up to the moon. I enjoyed it very much. Then he had a heart attack and died. my brother and I laughed at the funerel because we thought that it was so funny that the grown-ups were crying!
